Rebuilding Lives After the Monsoon Floods

"Your donations aren't just funds; they represent new opportunities, safety, and empowerment. Read how the Hanfi community made this impact possible."
In late 2025, unprecedented monsoon rains caused severe flooding across several low-lying villages, destroying mud houses, damaging crops, and contaminating drinking water wells. Hanfi Foundation mobilized its volunteer network immediately. In the initial phase, our team distributed emergency dry rations, milk powder, sanitization kits, and set up temporary health camps to prevent outbreak of waterborne diseases. As the water receded, we shifted focus to long-term rehabilitation. We identified 12 families whose homes were completely ruined and funded the reconstruction of concrete, flood-resilient structures. Additionally, we repaired and repainted three damaged classrooms in the village government school, supplying fresh benches, books, and educational kits, enabling 200+ students to resume their classes without further disruption.
