Hanfi Foundation
Dr. Ansar Hanfi believes that the ultimate measure of our humanity lies in how we serve those whom society has pushed to the margins. From his early days working at the grassroot levels, Ansar recognized that temporary charity, while useful in emergencies, could never replace the sustainable empowerment that education, skills, and community support provide.
His passion for social development led him to launch the Hanfi Foundation in 2016. What began as a local mission to distribute warm meals and provide basic literacy classes to underprivileged children has now blossomed into a multi-sector NGO impacting thousands of lives across school hubs, forestation zones, and disaster relief programs.
In early 2016, while visiting construction sites and remote villages in rural Karnataka, Dr. Ansar Hanfi witnessed first-hand the severe vulnerabilities faced by children of migrant laborers. Denied steady schooling and basic nutritious meals, these children faced a cyclic trap of systemic neglect.
"I realized that humanity isn't something we should only talk about on pulpits. It has to be lived through actions. If we can share our resources, our knowledge, and our hearts, we can build a world where every single child can dream."
Dr. Hanfi began cook-outs in his own kitchen, packaging fresh meals for construction children. Realizing they also needed a constructive outlet, he organized weekend lessons under trees. This small initiative quickly attracted passionate local volunteers, laying the foundational roots of what is today the Hanfi Foundation.

Dr. Ansar Hanfi initiates weekend feeding and educational lessons for children of laborers, gathering 15 regular volunteers in Bangalore.
The NGO is officially registered under the Indian Companies Act as a Section 8 non-profit organization, aligning structured operations under government guidelines.
Launch of primary initiatives: DHAARA (smart child learning kits), Soulfed (community kitchens), and URVYA (forestation drives) to address localized needs.
Established robust presence in 50+ rural blocks and urban slums, partnering with CSR bodies to build mobile libraries, drinking water wells, and women's training centers.
"Humanity is the only religion. When we realize that our personal growth is bound to the upliftment of the weakest sections of our society, we truly begin to live with purpose."
Dr. Ansar Hanfi's vision is powered by a community of changemakers just like you. Whether you choose to invest your time as a volunteer or provide financial support, your contribution accelerates our impact.
