Driven by Empathy, Guided by Purpose
Vaseem Akram Hanfi was born and raised in a small village, where he closely witnessed the everyday struggles of underprivileged families, children, women, and rural communities. From a young age, these experiences deeply shaped his thinking and created a strong desire to help people in need.
Long before the foundation was formally established, his journey of service had already begun. Since 2014, he had quietly dedicated himself to helping others — distributing ration kits, clothes, blankets, and essential support to struggling families without seeking recognition or publicity. He strongly believed in the principle that true kindness does not seek attention, and that genuine service should come from the heart.
Passion for Education & Empowerment
Alongside humanitarian support, he was always passionate about education and empowerment. He spent time encouraging children to study, supporting skill development, and motivating young girls to continue their education and build independent futures. Having personally seen the hardships faced by people in villages and underserved communities, he understood that real change begins with awareness, opportunity, and compassion.
"After marriage, his mission found even greater strength when he was joined by his wife, Umme Salma, who shared the same passion for social service and community empowerment. Her vision added a new direction to the journey."
She believed that if their efforts remained hidden, the impact would remain limited — but by building a platform and inspiring others, many more lives could be transformed together. With this shared dream, dedication, and purpose, they decided to establish a formal organization that could reach people on a larger scale and encourage more individuals to join hands for social good.

2014 - Personal efforts began
Compassion to Action
Personal efforts began with distributing Ration, Shelter, Tuition, Skills & Community development and Essential Support.
2023 - Formalization
Registration as Section 8 Organization
A collective vision for social transformation was formally registered as a Section 8 organization, marking the beginning of a dedicated journey toward community empowerment and sustainable development.

A Team of Hanfi Foundation
VOICE (Volunteers of Impact, Change & Empowerment) is a dedicated platform to engage and empower Hanfi Foundation volunteers. It includes monthly sharing circles, skill-building workshops, and recognition events. VOICE aims to celebrate volunteer stories, foster leadership, and amplify grassroots impact.
